Griffins to host hockey camp in Holland

GRAND RAPIDS – Grand Rapids Griffins Youth Hockey Camp is heading to the Lakeshore.

Griff’s IceHouse West in Holland (4444 Holland Ave.) will host the five-day camp August 16-20, giving children in Ottawa, Allegan and Muskegon counties convenient access to professional player and coach education Griffins for the first time.

The Griffins Youth Hockey Camp will be led by Griffins assistant coach Matt Macdonald and right wing Dominik Shine. Appearances will also be made during the week by Grand Rapids assistant coach and 16-season NHL veteran Mike Knuble, as well as longtime captain and defenseman Brian Lashoff.

“The Griffins have always enjoyed great support from the Lakeshore youth hockey community,” said Bob Kaser, Camp Manager and Vice President of Community Relations and Broadcasting for the Griffins. “As we seek to improve our relationship with each of them, a hockey camp in Holland makes so much sense. “

The cost of $ 300 per child includes a camp jersey, a daily lunch provided by popular local restaurants, and a locker room to store gear for the week.
