The 15th seed knocked out 2nd seed Kentucky in the first round, 7th seed Murray State in the second round, and on Friday night they will try to break more slices by playing 3rd seed Purdue.

So when was the last time a team from the tri-state area made it this far? It was Seton Hall 22 years ago.

Peacocks head coach Shaheen Holloway was a point guard on that winning team in 2000.

He is now looking to make history again with so many people supporting his team.

“With the last two years with COVID and everything has been so low and so dark, right now it’s a time, especially in Jersey City, New Jersey, where everyone is rallying around us, it’s been great The support has been amazing,” Holloway mentioned.

That support includes a famous fan, former Giants quarterback Eli Manning. He says everyone is late because he’s been a Peacocks fan for years.

If you want to watch the game in Philadelphia, be prepared to pay.

The $10 student tickets sold out in minutes.

On StubHub, it appeared that resale tickets start at $300 and go up to $2,500.
