NJCU to Host 2022 Summer Math Emporium Program

New Jersey City University‘s 18-day math program that helps students complete their developmental or prerequisite math courses before the start of fall 2022 runs from Tuesday, July 5 through Wednesday, August 3. The program is free and the deadline to sign up is Thursday, June 30.

Math Emporium participants will work on math skill-building problems and, upon completion, take a basic math skills assessment test. Students who complete the program and pass the placement test will have the opportunity to eliminate up to 6 hours of non-credit math in the next semester.

The program also helps students save their financial aid by giving them the option of reducing the number of course hours needed to complete their math prerequisites. The schedule is Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Students will meet in person at NJCU’s main campus on Monday and Wednesday and via Zoom on Tuesday and Thursday.
