Only in New Jersey would you find festive trash on the beach

Just when you think you’ve seen it all, someone in New Jersey will give you a double take. It goes to show that those at Garden State are full of surprises and creativity.

It was Christmas Day and we had finished opening the presents in my house. As the afternoon approached, I thought it was a good time to take a bike ride. And anyone who knows me knows I’ll try to get out for some fresh air whenever I get the chance.

Since the kids weren’t in the mood to leave the house, my wife stayed home while I left (usually my wife and I will try to alternate outings if the kids don’t want to move).

Since I live near the Henry Hudson Trail, I decided to cycle there. I didn’t expect to find a decorated “tree” along the beach.

Look, this is really something else. And spoiler, there is a decoration that is classic Jersey to the end. I’m just going to say this, don’t “avoid” the photos (hint, hint).
